GreenLight was a free guide to US state laws on plug-in solar: small solar kits that plug into a wall outlet. It also ran an email alert for when a certified kit went on sale.
GreenLight closed on September 28, 2026, because we could not keep its answers correct. Its old pages stayed online until October 26, 2026, when this page replaced them. Some of those answers were wrong, so please do not rely on anything GreenLight told you.
Read the law your state enacted, on your state legislature's website, and ask your electric utility before you plug anything in.
We will not send the alert or any other GreenLight email. We still hold the address you gave us; write to support@agentlookups.ai and we will delete it.
The GreenLight API (/v1/) and its MCP server (/mcp) are gone for good. They answer every request with HTTP 410 Gone.
